Spain is one of the countries in the world where we use WiFi connections the most, both at home and at work. And the truth is that a very big problem in our country is the lack of security of these WiFi networks, since their owners do not change the password that comes by default. This is dangerous? We discuss 9 applications for Android that allow you to decrypt WiFi keys of different router models. If you have not changed the password that came with your routers, now it will be very clear that you have to do it.

Our intention is to report the security deficiencies we have in many of our routers due to not changing the default password. Router keygen

It is the most complete of all, it is the summum within the applications that allow access to wireless networks with predetermined keys. It is a total danger for those owners who have not changed it, and an essential reason to do so, since it is available to anyone. Among others, it contains default password dictionaries that come with Thomson, DLink, Pirelli, Eircom, Verizon, Elice, and some Huawei routers.

But not only this, it also contains the passwords of the networks recognizable by having one of the following SSIDs:

HHG5XX WEP Scanner

This application is very similar to the first one, Router Keygen, with key dictionaries that allow us to know the possible access passwords. Of course, in this case it is limited to some router models, the Huawei HG5XX, so it will only work if we know that a certain wireless network is created by this router. It is also available on Google Play.

pulseWiFi

pulWiFi is a kind of WifiPass but with a larger set of passable wireless networks. This application will help us find the password for the WLAN_XXXX, JAZZTEL_XXXX, WLANXXXXXX, YACOMXXXXXX, WIFIXXXXXX, some D-Link routers, and some Huawei routers. This app is not available on Google Play, and will have to be downloaded from the developer's page.

WiFiPass

This is similar to the previous ones. It contains the key dictionaries of two specific networks, and it works very effectively. Of course, we can only use it with networks that are JAZZTEL_XXXX and WLAN_XXXX. Available on Google Play.

Wi-Fi Audit

This application allows you to scan all the wireless networks in range and know their public data, such as their MAC address, their encryption, their intensity, etc. In addition, it also allows us to decipher a possible access key based on this public data, although this does not ensure that we can access it at all.
