JJOO Live, London 2012 by RTVE.
It is the “most ours” application, so it is in Spanish and, therefore, it is the easiest to use at first. It has configurable alerts, a specific section for the Spanish team and a really extensive database (it has more than 11.000 athletes' files). You can see the most interesting events live, and includes the technology required for streaming to match the bandwidth of the Internet connection, which gives it a differentiating touch, and very useful. Without a doubt, a great job from RTVE.

BBC Olympics
The content of this application has the great advantage of being created by a large number of correspondents that the BBC has at the Olympics. What's more, you can read the "hottest" stories that each of them follows. It has live video reproductions, including daily summaries, and has a database of athletes, medal tables, calendar ... everything you need to keep up with the games. It is not translated into Spanish, which can be a problem, but the quality of its content makes it attractive.

London 2012 by Codegorilla
This is an application that offers support for a large number of languages, among which is the Spanish. It offers a large amount of information and, in addition, very quickly. With a more than acceptable database (including the venues that exist), it has a good calendar and medal table. It does not have live videos, so to be able to see the events live you must choose another… but the information is up to date.

CTV Olympics London 2012
A Canadian creation, this application is only in English, but its most notable aspects its social aspect, with the inclusion of support for the most popular social networks, and that even has trivia games. By having the image rights, you can see the events that take place live, but always from the Canadian point of view. Its database is good, the worst is the smallest of all the applications that we propose. A curious option that is worth, at least, trying.
