Samsung has received good news or, rather, estimates. Some analyst companies, such as JPMorgan, sales have indicated that in their forecasts they believe that the Korean company could have sold no less than 20 million Galaxy S3 units in six months.
These would be an impressive number that would beat all current records, if you keep in mind that not long ago it was put on sale in the US. Therefore, the data is to be happy and, sure, Samsung is. Now it is time for stable sales, although lower, and then for residuals ... which could even double the estimates provided. Not bad at all ... but we will have to see the behavior of the market when its great rival arrives after the summer: Apple's iPhone 5.
The truth is that these good results are something that could be expected, since Galaxy S3 is the best phone with Android operating system that you can buy today, and it has very few rivals. Perhaps the only one is HT One X, but its sales have not been as expected, despite the fact that its hardware is also of very good quality and its design is quite attractive. Also, if it were bought with the sales of Galaxy S2, which were from 10 million units in five months, it is clear the growth that Samsung has had, which is precisely what the Korean company expected.
Perhaps the only terminal that can shade it a bit is Galaxy Nexus of Google, especially in the North American market, since there the search engine company has a good market share and, in addition, it must be remembered that these devices are the first to receive Android updates, as for example has happened with Jelly Bean. Would you buy a Samsung Galaxy S3 or a Google Galaxy Nexus?
