Curved smartphones are starting to hit the market. It seems that the flagships could already be curved next year, and that they could even bend slightly, which would make them much more resistant to breakage. However, the true future would be in 2015. Samsung would intend to launch a folding smartphone.
And we call it a smartphone for calling it somehow, because it could actually be a tablet, or a monitor, depending on the number of times we deploy it. We do not know what the future of electronic devices will be like, or how folding smartphones can be created, because today, there are still technological barriers that have to be overcome before we can start manufacturing prototypes of this type of smartphone. However, Samsung is already clear that it will be the next objective after the launch of smartphones that fold in next year 2014. Foldable phones already appear on its roadmap.
As we have already said, even they themselves find the technological barriers that they will have to eliminate if they want that telephone to become a reality. Once the appropriate technology is in place, all that remains is to design, test, and manufacture the prototype. How would it be? Not even Samsung knows that, it doesn't even know what it will be able to count on for such a year. In fact, not only does the folding smartphone appear on its roadmap from 2015, but in any case we would be talking about the end of the year. Obviously, everything would depend on how technological discoveries progress, which could advance the launch of the folding smartphone, or postpone it even more, assuming that it was possible, of course.
Anyway, what seems much clearer is that curved phones are the present. LG and Samsung already have their curved smartphones on the market, and rumors about an iPhone 6 with a large and curved screen are beginning to appear, which would mean that it is going to become the general bet of the market. It seems that next year we will not see great advances in the technical performance of smartphones, but that everything will be based on the design and, mainly, that they are curved phones.
