Shortcuts are very useful tools that we have on our smartphones and that we can use to save time once we have located, for example, the contacts we talk to the most. Instead of always having to go to WhatsApp and looking for these contacts, we can add a shortcut to these users on our desktop to reach them faster. We can even add shortcuts to groups.
Shortcuts to WhatsApp
WhatsApp is the communication application that we use the most. We use it to talk with co-workers about ongoing projects, with family members and also to joke when Real Madrid won the Eleventh. Of course, not all conversations are equally relevant. If we have gone to a smartphone launch event, we want to be able to quickly access the work group in which we are talking about it, sending images of the launches, answering questions that colleagues have, etc. Or if there is a contact that we always talk to, it doesn't make much sense that every time we want to talk to that contact we have to run WhatsApp and search for it among all our conversations. Yes, in general, the conversations in which we participate the most are the ones that are at the top, but the truth is that if we can save a few steps when reaching users or groups, we can save a lot of time throughout of the day or throughout the year.

How do we add a shortcut to a user or a group on the desktop?
First, we will have to go to the conversation or group that we want to be able to access directly from the desktop. Once here, we will go to the Options menu, which is the one that appears in the upper right corner. In the menu that appears, we will have to press the More option, which is the last one, and it will be then when we find the possibility of creating direct access, appearing on the desktop of our mobile.
