Amazon has been successful in many of the things it has done lately. At the beginning of 2001 the first rumors began to be heard that dropped the possibility that the American company was working on a mobile device and two tablets. Shortly after came the Kindle Fire, Amazon's seven-inch device, aimed at consuming its multimedia content, both videos, music and movies. Now it seems that they not only like the market for tablets, but may also be interested in diving headlong into the world of smartphones.
After the success achieved with the Kindle Fire, the only tablet capable of taking a bit of share from Apple's iPad, it is normal that within the company they see themselves with enough courage to bet even stronger.
And it is that, although its great launch for this year could be two new tablets, one of seven and another of ten inches, they could already be testing a new prototype, a smartphone, called Kindle Phone.
As Amazon usually does, they would focus on the type of device that is selling the most at the moment. What people ask for and demand, and they would be limited to a single specific model, contrary to what other manufacturers do, and in harmony with what a giant like Apple does. And what mobiles are currently being sold? Amazon would be testing a supposed Kindle Phone, with a touch screen between four and five inches, which would use Android as the operating system, although with the Kindle UI interface.
If all these data are true, the device would go into production at the end of 2012 or the beginning of 2013, and would reach the market before the middle of next year.
