Four years. 48 months ago Android 1.5 it was launched on the market and presented. Four years in which Android has gone from being nothing, to being absolutely everything in the world of mobile telephony, breaking barriers that no one ever thought, not even the company's own managers. Cupcake was the first version with a real future. And so it was four years ago. It is really surprising.

You stop to think. I have had a Sony Xperia S for a year, and it seems to me that now I have very modern software. I have the feeling that this has always existed, that we have always tweeted, that we have always had Facebook, and that there has always been Apalabrados. But the truth is that four years and a month ago, no one would have believed that now you were going to be reading this post, no one would have believed that everything was going to change in such a short time, and no one would have told us that we were going to go down the street tweeting , always connected to the Internet. It seems incredible, but it only took 48 months for all that to change.

And it is not that today I am on a philosophical level, it is that I have come across the presentation video of Android 1.5 Cupcake, the first version with a true sense of the operating system, the first version that one could consider using. The truth is that I remember those Nokia with Symbian that I had, and that now seem so different from Android, and I realize that they were not so different from Android 1.5 Cupcake. Of course, Cupcake is more like Symbian than Jelly Bean. But I won't be the only one, check out the video below. Thus, in this way, it was presented Android 1.5 in May 2009.

There is a very curious detail, that of voice searches. And, we are still working on it, improving it, and using it as a marketing weapon. It will be that already at that time things were promised that were not fulfilled when launching the new operating systems. Does the HTC Dream sound familiar to you? And the Samsung Galaxy GT-i7500? Well, those were the first smartphones, if they can be called that, that had Android 1.5. The world has changed a lot, it is clear, and time has not been wasted. We have better smartphones. Now, let us always keep in mind that, in four years, this will seem to us again from the last century. No one is saved from time. Will Android still exist in four years?
