The new information regarding the possible arrival date of the new version of the operating system for smart watches comes from Artem Russakovskii, the founder of the well-known medium Android Police, who has used Google Plus to talk about the new data that he knew. According to him, one of his sources has confirmed the date, although it cannot be discussed definitively because sometimes they end up modifying the release dates of the updates.
However, it is a really reliable source, since it already stated that October 15 would be the day the company would present the new Nexus 6, and it has finally been fulfilled, so it seems that this time we also have reason to think that, indeed, Android Wear 2.0 will arrive on November 3.
The new version of the operating system for smart watches should arrive with three important news. On the one hand, there is the support for GPS, which should allow companies to launch smartwatches with integrated GPS, and that could be used with Android Wear with a native and common implementation, without causing complications for manufacturers or for application developers. On the other hand, more options should also be added for music playback on smart watches, because so far everything is very limited to working as a remote control for Android devices connected to the watch, and nothing else. Finally, and possibly one of the most important things, the new API would also arrive that would allow third parties to modify the appearance of the smart watch natively, one of the shortcomings of current smart watches. In any case, we will still have to wait until November 3.
