El launcher of an Android device is effectively the 'application launcher'. Define the home screen, but also the app drawer, where they are all listed. And changing it serves to customize our device not only in terms of design and appearance. Also at the level of functionality, because we can get different gestures, quick actions and other features. How to select the default Android launcher
We have to open the application Settings on our smartphone, or on our tablet, and here open the section of Applications. It may also appear, depending on the make and model, with the text 'Applications and notifications'. Be that as it may, we will access and we will have to locate the Default applications. The option can be found in the upper right corner, on the button with three dots in portrait orientation, and possibly within Advanced Options. We will open it, and here we can modify, as we previously mentioned, the default app that will be used for features such as web browsing, SMS messages, the phone and the launcher.
In this last section of the Settings, in Default applications, we will find the section of Starting screen. And when you open it, a list will appear with all the launcher that we have installed on our device and that, of course, we can configure as the default application for this function. Something that, on the other hand, we should be able to configure directly from the launcher. Or when exiting to the Home screen, when we have installed and opened it for the first time on our mobile device.
If we select any of the available launchers here, then, when we go to the Start screen, the one we have adjusted will always appear. This will avoid the question, on the part of the system, about which launcher to open when we leave the one we are using. And obviously, it is something that we can change at any time. If we configure one, and later we uninstall it, the device itself will ask us again which one to open and whether to do it in a timely manner or configure it as the default option.

Nova Launcher is such a veteran Android app launcher that it hardly needs an introduction. Over time, Nova has turned into something like the standard in third-party launchers, including everything that is expected of a launcher and, often, ahead of Google by implementing some new features before the Pixel launcher.
Action Launcher
After Nova Launcher, Action Launcher is probably the second most popular Android app launcher today. Action Launcher has roughly everything that Nova hasexcept for the adaptive icons, although it has an icon pack for that. If Nova Launcher is a traditional launcher, Action Launcher is something more experimental, including the curious shutters or blinds, with which you can open an application widget from its shortcut.
