- On the mobile phone go to Settings, then go to Connections or Networks and Internet
- Go to Internet Sharing and modem or you can change calling Hotspot / Hotspot
- Enable Internet Sharing or click on it to see the WiFi network name and password
- Once the access point is created, the two devices can be connected to each other, to be able to share information quickly and above all comfortable
Once you disconnect the access point it will stop passing data and information to the PC, so the mobile will connect whenever this option is used only. This is worth a lot if you don't want to use a cable and search for individual files in folders and subfolders.
Connect the mobile to the PC by WiFi with AirDroid
A simple way to connect the mobile to the PC is by using the well-known AirDroid application. Both devices must have a WiFi connection, to then share a connection. It is an app that requires little space, for this you will have to download it from the Play Store, also available for iOS devices.
To synchronize both devices do the following using the mobile and the PC:
- Once you have downloaded and installed it, open the app on your device
- It will ask you to Sign in or register, you can press Skip to use it, you do not need to have an account initially
- Grant the relevant permissions, AirDroid will show them to you, click "Continue", as well as giving permissions
- AirDroid will now show you a screen giving you different options, but we are going to go to the one that really is the one that will connect the two devices via WiFi
- Click on the scan code button that you have in the upper right
- Open the AirDroid page on the PC, since it is the one that shows you the code with which to scan it with the mobile phone, to do so, access web.aridroid.com, remember that if you do not have registration nothing happens, since what we want is to use the QR code
- Point the mobile reader at the QR code and the connection will be immediate
- Now confirm access to AirDroid Web by clicking on "Login" and both devices will be connected

Connect from your computer
If you have created a WiFi access point, the option to connect will be among them. In Windows 10 it will appear on the Network button, check on the taskbar as it will be visible in connections. Depending on the name of your phone, it will be displayed in one way or another, so if you have a P40 Pro, it will be displayed with that name.
Search for the WiFi network as you usually do, once you find it, click connect and wait for the well-known pairing to take place. This can take just under a minute, as verification is vital for everything to work perfectly. Once connected, the user has the option of exchanging information, but not only that.
In Linux it will depend a lot on the distribution you use, many will see it in the notification icon as it usually happens in Windows. Click on the Wireless signal and check that it is available, looking for the name of the phone or the one you put on the terminal when looking for it.
Mac Os X users shows it in the top bar, right on the WiFi icon. Clicking on the icon will open the complete list, leaving only to click on the device. The connection will be fast as it happens in the other systems, being able to share files between the two devices.
