Depending on our daily music on Spotify playlists, we don't like some of the songs it contains. This happens in each and every one of them, so we must create our own playlist on many occasions. It is a pity, since every time we have better and more updated playlists, but there may be a solution for hide those songs from Spotify.
No more listening to songs that we don't like, because they don't fit into our musical style, that is, the typical song that is on everyone's lips and we are tired of listening. There is already a solution for that, and we can find it from the streaming platform's own app.
How to hide songs on Spotify
The process is very simple, since it is a function implemented by the developers of Spotify, although this option is only available for mobile platforms. We can hide as many songs as we want, the only downside is that we must do it individually. The second setback is that only the version users premium.
To hide a song, there are three simple steps that we have to follow. We go to the playlist in question, we get to the song that we want to delete and in the three points that are located to the right of it, a contextual menu appears several options, one of them is «Hide song». The song does not disappear from the list, it will simply not be played, so we can reactivate it by performing the same operation and selecting "Show".
What if I want to hide an artist?
There is another possibility, and that is that instead of blocking the playback of a specific song, what we really hate is the entire album of an artist. We cannot live with any of his songs, so we decided not to listen to that artist in any of the playlists that we usually listen to on a daily basis.
To give an example, with all the respect in the world, we are going to stage it with Juan Magan. Not everyone is a sympathizer of the music that Juan Magán makes, so if we belong to that group, we are going to block all his songs that he has on Spotify. To do this, we look for your profile in the app, we go to the three vertical points at the top of the screen, another contextual menu will appear and click on "Lock". Like hiding songs, it is a completely reversible process.
