OpenAI, the company that owns ChatGPT, has released a new update to the application and now you can use ChatGPT with the camera of your mobile or tablet. This is for the purpose of making queries, requirements or seeking answers to concerns from a photo or video.
The chatbot will have a button that will allow you integrate the camera of your mobile device with ChatGPT artificial intelligence. Let's learn how they work, how to use them and how this update benefits us.

ChatGPT, the chatbot managed with artificial intelligence to answer questions or maintain a fluid conversation, will now have a section to integrate the camera of our mobile device or tablet with it.
For this the application has been updated and now comes with a new "message" button that allows us to chat with ChatGPT. Just below the box to place the text, 4 new features appear identified with the icons of a camera, upload an image, a microphone and headphones.
If we press the camera icon, it will activate the device's camera to capture a photo and from there we carry out a consultation with the chatbot. Regarding the image, this allows us to upload a photo from the gallery and with it make a request to ChatGPT's artificial intelligence. Both options can be used by paying a subscription of around 18 euros per month.
The response that ChatGPT generates from the use of these functions will be entirely in Spanish. Unlike Google Gemini which, despite doing the same thing from a photo or your mobile camera, is totally free, but its search results are in English. Regarding the other functions of ChatGPT, such as the microphone, to make queries by voice commands; and the headphones to activate the voice conversation mode are totally free.
Tutorial to make queries to ChatGPT with the phone camera
At this point we will teach you with a small tutorial how to make queries with the phone's camera. The first thing you should know is that this new feature that OpenAI has launched in the application is in beta version 1.2024.052. That is to say, It is not available on Google Play Store, so it must be unloaded like an APK.
Once you have it on your Android mobile device search installed widgets for the newest one, that will be your new ally for queries. Add it to the main screen and you can see the message drawer. In addition, the query buttons by: mobile camera, upload a photo (both paid), voice commands or activate a conversation (both free).
