Google has a new update for the beta version of its Gboard keyboard in which it has added an option that will allow you to change the fonts. It is a function with which we can get greater control over the visual style of what we write on the keyboard. But, as we said above, at the moment it is a feature that is only available in the beta version of the keyboard. Specifically, it is available in Gboard v14.7 beta version, which was first seen on Pixel devices and some Samsung devices. The stable version of the Gboard keyboard lacks this new feature.
This is a font selector that we can access through the Gboard keyboard Preferences menu. In this section, we must locate the Appearance option and from there choose, for now, between two font options: Default Gboard and Default System. The default Gboard is set to Google Sans Text font, while the default System font remains Roboto for Google Pixel devices.
How to enable the new font switching option in Gboard

If you are part of the Gboard beta program and have the latest version installed, you will be able to activate the option to change fonts. You need to open Gboard in any text field on your phone and click the settings icon on the keyboard toolbar to access the settings menu. Configuration.
In the section of Preferences You have to click on Appearance. Within this section, choose the option Change font and choose the one you like best between the two options available, that is, default Gboard or default System.
Other cool things coming to Gboard

The Gboard beta version has also added other new features that are based on artificial intelligence. These new tools are:
- Review texts with AI: Automatically corrects spelling, grammar and punctuation using generative AI.
- Custom stickers thanks to the tool EmogenThis allows you to create unique stickers using emojis as a base.
- Adjust the tone or style of your messages to adapt them to different contexts.
The evolution of Gboard also includes other functions such as freehand writing for devices with stylus or power recognize gestures.
