Microsoft Office has been for years, the benchmark program on computers to create and edit documents, work presentations, spreadsheets, among other performances. It still is, but it also wants to be on mobile devices. For Android, it has received a facelift with all the functionalities in full.
And it is that Microsoft's idea is to unify the entire Office suite, to which the Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs belong, in a single application. It is something totally different, since all the tools were separately on mobile phones.
All Office programs, in a single click
Once we are in the application, we synchronize the account with which we normally work in Office, and it will work. Certainly, everything is very intuitive, since the app shows us in a simple way all the functions through drop-down menus.
Clicking on the button Start, All the formats that the app can recognize are displayed, which are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF reader, multimedia files and Notes. We insist, this section is intended to read files that we have on the device or in the cloud.
FOR create new documents, we go to the button with the '+' sign to add a blank sheet, create from a template or digitize a text. This happens to work with both Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Once we are going to create something, the app keeps the basic functions of the Office package intact, without even having all the options of the computer version.
More functionalities in Microsoft Office
That is not the thing, and it is that we can do a lot of other things with this app. In this way, we can share files with nearby mobiles, as well as transfer them from the device to the computer through a QR code or read a text from said code thanks to its reader, in addition to extracting the text or table from any image to convert it into Word format or Excel format.
On the other hand, it has editing functions for PDF files. Thus, it is possible to scan images to convert them to PDF, or otherwise, select a file from our gallery to give it that format, as well as transform any document, be it Word or Excel, and also add a signature to our PDF.
Finally, the app has a quick access to short and instant annotations, which we can edit by adding reminders and alarms; and another quick access to what was previously Microsoft Lens, whose operation is to digitize images. This suggests that it is an app with high hardware requirements, but it is not, since only occupies 1 GB of RAM to work.
