From the company they have announced that, henceforth, Facebook Messenger can automatically translate from English to Spanish and vice versa, although if we really want to learn English, with Tongo We can get it. This function will be integrated as part of M, that kind of digital assistant that has been part of the messaging service experience for some time. The truth is that this automatic translator was already available in the Facebook market, the space for buying and selling second hand, but now it is open to all conversations made with the service. To activate it, M will suggest automatic translation every time a conversation is started in one of these languages. It needs to be activated every time, and there is still no setting to keep it activated. In the same way, at any moment you can deactivate the automatic translator, either because it offers a bad experience or because you no longer need it.
Spanish and English first, but there will be more languages ​​in the future
At the moment, the function is available in the United States and Mexico and continues to be oriented mainly to business and transactions. Nevertheless, from Facebook they have assured that they are working on implementing more languages. It makes sense, as such a feature will allow even more people to connect through the service. Facebook is used by people all over the world and tries to be a method to connect. This new feature is in line with that goal.
In turn, the idea of ​​implementing more languages ​​opens the door for the function to leave its country of origin. It is useless to have several languages ​​available to translate if you confine yourself to just two territories. Most likely, as languages ​​are added, the feature will expand to more countries, as they suggest from the social network itself.
