The EMUI user interface that is included in the devices Huawei (and also in the Honor sub-brand models) it offers interesting options - and they make it different from others used by other manufacturers. But, perhaps, you want to explore other possibilities that exist or, simply, you have not been convinced by the integrated one by default.
This is something that has been thought about by the Chinese company, and therefore the change of interface for another is allowed, such as Nova Launcher or the own that develops Google (Both can be downloaded from the Play Store at no cost). We are going to indicate how this is done without having any problem and with a very great simplicity.
The fact is that it must be clear that if the replacement is made in the Huawei terminal, the possibilities that are included in EMUI, such as the configuration of the Notification Bar or the use of gestures. An example can be seen in this ence in which you can see several of those that are from the game in the Huawei P9, the latest high-end model launched by the Chinese company.
Changing the interface
Many Android terminals allow you to select the launcher to use once you download one from the Google store and press the Home button. But, in Huawei models, this is not the case and it has to be done some more extra step, which we indicate below step by step:
- Press the Home button to go to the main page and then go to Settings
- Now select Applications and, at the bottom, you should find Advanced Options and press it
- Now use the section called Default application settings and, now, select Activator
- A list appears in which will be all the launchers that are installed and, simply, you must choose the one you want to use
- Now press the Home button again and you will see that the change is already effective
Others Tutorials for the Google operating system that are not restricted to Huawei terminals, you can find them at this section Android Help. There are different options and they are very useful.
