From the cassette to the present we have been able to listen to music in many ways, and even have fun with it through musical games. Our mobile phones have replaced the outdated mp3 players. And one of the most important parts is that all the information is what it should be. We tell you how to edit music metadata of your mobile.
Edit your music metadata with Star Music Tag Editor
Star music tag editor is an application available in the Play Store that allows you to edit the metadata of your music. If you don't know what they are, metadata is internal information of a file. They contain the title of the song, the name of the artist’s most emblematic landmarks, the album… And this is the information that music players usually detect and display. If you've ever seen a different title than the one you gave your file, now you know why: the metadata is different.
The application has Two versions: one free and one paid. The paid version is used to remove the ads and is purchased for a single payment of 2 euros within the application itself. This payment is made from the hamburger menu, where you can also access the adjustments to activate a dark theme, sort the songs, mix music like a DJ o scan to find all your music files.
On the home page you will see that Star Music Tag Editor will have already found your songs. You can sort them by individual files, by folders, by calendar according to when you added them, by album, by artist and by genre. The calendar view is the most peculiar, while the rest are quite common.
If you click on a song, you will proceed to edit it. It will first tell you the address of the file. Then you can edit the cover, and has an option for automatic internet search. You will need to choose one or more metadata options before performing the search. The tests we have carried out have been effective. Below you will see the Options to edit the name of the album, the name of the song, the artist, the year ... It's up to you how exact you want to be.
Once you have filled in everything, you must press the Save button in the upper area to save everything you have edited. There will be a small load and then you can return to the list using the corresponding button. Pay attention to the sections with an asterisk, as it is mandatory to fill them in.
