Not long ago we were talking about the possibility that Facebook will relaunch Instagram, like a video service, in the style of Vine. However, it may not be the only announcement this week, as the company could have been creating a new feed reader. That is, taking advantage of the closure of Google Reader, a new FacebookReader. It would be presented on June 20.
Last week, the Menlo Park company sent invitations to the media to request their presence at an event where they would present a new product. The most recent rumors indicate that it could be Instagram, which would become a service for uploading videos, in the style of Vine, with a duration of between five and ten seconds. This is quite a feasible possibility. However, it does not fit much with the concept of a new product, since Instagram has been around for years.
Tom Waddington was the person who claimed that Facebook could launch a new reader of feeds, where to read the news of the blogs that we had added. The American company would try to replace Google as the place where people would collect all the information from the Internet. They would clearly aim to make those users spend much more time on Facebook, trying to relaunch the social network, which has been left a little aside for the professional sector, Twitter being the medium used by the majority to make comments and publications.
Little is known about what this new feed reader could look like. In fact, it might not even exist. In any case, everything will be much clearer on June 20, when Facebook make the official presentation, and explain what this new product is about. Everything is that it is finally just a new search engine and neither launch new Instagram, nor new FacebookReader.
