At the beginning of this month Google launched a very important update of gmail. It included new organizational options with, for example, the appearance of the Main, Social and Promotions sections. Also, the delete button disappeared ... something that has been solved from Mountain View.
A new update, which is being rolled out gradually, put the shortcut back in the user interface… since they had expressed their complaints about how inefficient this was for constant use of Gmail. Having to enter each email Deleting was quite tedious, to say the least. Therefore, Google listened to its users and, given their opinions, reacted quickly.
The truth is that the disappearance of the delete button on the shortcut bar It was a real surprise, and more than one person attributed it to a mistake, not to something premeditated. But now it's back to where it was before, which will surely please more than one person, since this reduced the capacity of one of the best applications that Google offers for its Android operating system.
A Gmail update with something else ...
Although it is true that the inclusion of the delete button is the most important thing it offers this new update, and contrasts with other controversies about the removal of buttons in Android, is not the only thing that has been incorporated. Thanks to this, it is also possible tap the sender's image to select the different emails you have in a conversation. This allows for sending messages that are not global and can be further customize use Gmail. Minor bug fixes are also announced… not a revolutionary update, but an important one.
If you have not received the update yet, you can get it by accessing Google Play, since when entering the My applications section or, directly in Gmail (in this link), the option to get it will appear. Honestly, worth and the return of the delete button is very good news for the best use of this email client.

- On Android: Open Gmail > Settings > General Settings > Archive and delete and choose Show Both (or just Remove if you prefer).
- For multiple selection: tap the sender avatar; if you disabled avatars, use a long press in the first conversation.
- In the web version, the top bar includes Delete; Right-clicking will reveal additional options (Reply, Reply All, Forward, and Search for emails from sender).
Additionally, in Gmail for desktop you can change the button labels (icon or text) from Settings > See all settings, and turn off the hover actions if you prefer a cleaner tray.

Manage subscriptions: clean up newsletters and promotions
Gmail incorporates a feature called Manage Subscriptions to delete unread newsletters in one fell swoop. Automatically detects frequent senders subscriptions and promotions and groups them in the side menu (above the Trash) showing how many emails you have received in the last few weeks. From there you can bulk delete messages from a sender and ask Gmail to send the unsubscribe request on your behalf. This new feature is gradually rolling out to the web version, Android and iOS and may appear first in some countries.
With these improvements, daily management is more agile: direct access to Delete Avoid unnecessary steps, avatar selection speeds up batch cleaning, and the new subscription tool minimizes noise in your inbox.
