And it is that, in reality, there are not few people who have a Mac computer and an Android smartphone. Let's see how to control the computer from an Android in a very simple way, with MacRemote.
MacRemote It is the clear demonstration of the best of an Apple computer. There are many applications that allow you to control a Windows computer from an Android smartphone, installing an application on the smartphone, and a program on the PC. However, in this case it is not necessary to install any program on the computer, since Mac computers allow you to log in remotely to it, so that we can control some of the applications.
What applications can we access? In this case, to the applications that have been configured by the application creator MacRemote, a very simple useful app to control the most basic programs of Mac OS X. Among others, we can control iPhoto, iTunes, Keynote, Preview and even Spotify. Now, if we want to use the application, we will have to perform a small configuration on our Mac computer, or at least check that one of the required functions is active, as well as know what data and credentials are necessary to access the Mac from our Android smartphone. Let's go step by step.
- We download MacRemote: First, we must download the Mac Remote application on our Android smartphone. To do this, we just have to go to Google Play, search for the app, and select Install.
- Run MacRemote: With the application already installed on the smartphone, we just have to run it. As soon as we do it, it will tell us if we want to go to the configuration tutorial, to know how to use the app with the Mac. - Once we are in System Preferences, we must open the Sharing configuration section, which is in the Internet and wireless connections section.
