Google has just released a new version of its software for users who are fond of modifying ROMs and system tools. It is a reduced version of ADB and Fastboot that previously required the installation of the full SDK, and that we can now easily install. And with a service that officially comes from Google.
Simple, easy and fast ADB and Fastboot
ADB and Fastboot are the two tools that we need to install on our computer to be able to manage some functions of the mobile from it. That is imperative for change a ROM or to root the mobile. For many functions on our smartphone we do not need a computer, but for these we do. Until now, Google It offered us the ADB and Fastboot tools integrated in its SDK, in the application development kit. However, this involved having to download the SDK and install it. Sometimes the process was complex. You had to follow it step by step and understand what we were doing. Had to download more than 1 GB of data in many cases. And all for what? So that in many cases we only used one tool from the entire SDK, and we had to always have it installed despite not using it.
Thus, that is why Google has wanted to independently launch the ADB and Fastboot as tools that we can install separately, without the entire SDK, and for users who they are not app developers, but only want to be able to manage the smartphone from the computer to change ROM, install a Recovery or root the mobile.
Although there were developers who had created something similar, the truth is that it is an official Google software, which will always be much better, and that it is also available for the three main operating systems, Windows, Mac and Linux, so now it will no longer have any complications to use our mobile from the computer.
