LG is clearly betting on devices A, an example of what we're saying is that it's the company that has launched the largest number of devices with this operating system to date. Well, it has just been announced that it has developed an application for managing calls called LG Call.
This work is already available in the Play Store and, at the moment, it has a handicap regarding its compatibility since it can only be used with the LG Watch Urbane, the company's latest smartwatch. It remains to be seen whether the user options will be expanded later, something that would surely be appreciated by those with an LG G Watch R, for example. Furthermore, LG itself indicates that the app may require Android 4.3 or higher (on some tabs it is shown since 4.1, depending on the version) and that its interface lives on the clock, running in the background on the phone without its own icon in the app drawer.
The fact is that LG Call offers interesting options that make the development more useful. For example, viewing a dial pad, view the recent calls that have been received or made from the mobile device and also view the favorite contacts that are on the phone. And, yes, it is possible to make calls using technology. Bluetooth. Thus, a functionality is added that is not part of Android Wear by default and that LG has taken care of with a modern interface and clear, visible only on the watch.
Very easy to use
As you can see in the image below, one of the basic features that LG Call offers is the simplicity, which has a very clear and seamless interface (with a very large green button in the center that ensures there is no loss when making a call). It is even possible to open the application using voice commands, which makes everything much more comfortable.
Compatibility, requirements and pairing
LG Call is designed for watches LG with Android Wear. Officially born for the LG Watch Urbane and support has been indicated for LG G Watch R through a specific software update. To use it, simply pair the watch via Bluetooth with your phone, open the call app on your wrist or say “open call”/“open call”. All functions are displayed only on the watch, so the user dial, search and call from the circular screen without taking your phone out of your pocket.
As for requirements, the app requires a version of Android on the phone and watch compatible with Android Wear; the official descriptions indicate compatibility from Android 4.3 + (depending on the version, it may appear from 4.1). The call audio is routed through Bluetooth to the phone or to the watch itself if it integrates speaker, offering a more autonomous experience on compatible models.
Accessibility, voice control and user experience
In addition to manual dialing, LG Call integrates with the voice actions of Android Wear, so you can say “Ok Google, Call to ” to start a communication instantly. For those who need additional assistance, features such as Audio response of the system read the time and notification cards and can help manage calls and messages from the wrist. This is complemented by wrist gestures to scroll through cards and options without constantly looking at the screen.
On watches with mobile connectivity or speaker, it is possible make and receive calls directly from the wrist; in other cases, the watch acts as remote dialer and controls the call that comes out on the phone. You can adjust the costumes from Settings > Clock Sound and, if you pair Bluetooth headsets, the audio will be directed to them (be aware of the impact on the battery of the clock). A useful accessibility option is to enable the power button hangs the call to end it without interacting with the screen.
The truth is that this application is very interesting both for the additional possibilities it offers and for how easy it is to run. There is no doubt that LG shows that it is clearly committed to A and, therefore, is becoming the most active company both in launching devices and in working on adding options. And, LG Call, is a clear example of this (in combination with the LG Watch Urbane). What do you think of the new options offered by this development?

LG's proposal fits with those who want call from your wrist with a direct, distraction-free flow, leveraging the Android Wear ecosystem and providing a dedicated dialer, accessible by voice, with support for favorites and recents, and accessibility options that improve the experience for all types of users.
