Both Xiaomi and Meizu, although in this publication we will focus especially on Meizu, have managed, thanks to their respective layers of customization, to make the user forget the version of Google's mobile operating system, Android, that they run on their smartphones. Xiaomi with MIUI and Meizu with Flyme, completely modify the Android interface to not only offer a differentiated visual appearance, but also continue a parallel path in terms of functions and software features. However, on April 28 the Meizu MX3 and MX2 terminals will receive Android KitKat, which will translate into important improvements for the user.
As we anticipated, the smartphone manufacturer Meizu is one of the few that manages to distance the user from an obvious perception of the version of Android running on their device. Undoubtedly, this is an excellent result that leads to an important development work in the software, which, as we have already mentioned, affects not only the interface, the mere visual aspect, but also the operation of the system at the performance level and, of course, , at the level of functions. In any case, in addition to the parallel development of Meizu's proprietary software, Android continues its own path by introducing fundamental novelties that affect all fields and are therefore important to the user.
What will the arrival of Android KitKat mean to the Meizu MX3 and MX2?
As for the interface changes with respect to previous versions of Android, taking into account that the Meizu MX3 and MX2 run their own custom layer by the manufacturer -Flyme-, users of both devices will not be able to enjoy them. Nevertheless, the changes will be noticeable at the performance level, a field that according to the manufacturer has been optimized with this latest version of Android. On the other hand, the Meizu MX3 and MX2 will also receive, for example, support for wireless printing built into the OS itself and screen recording. Outside of these obvious novelties, the manufacturer Meizu - in relation to the Meizu MX3 and the Meizu MX2 - has not detailed more news, so we will have to wait, in principle, until these updates arrive on April 28.
