Microsoft Office is coming to Android in 2013, maybe in March

  • Microsoft Office, the most popular office suite, is not yet available on smartphones.
  • Microsoft Office for Android and iOS is expected to be released in 2013.
  • Microsoft's Czech division suggests a native app for multiple platforms.
  • The delayed launch could influence the preference for other editing software on mobile devices.

The largest office suite in the computing world is well known to all, Microsoft Office. Legally or illegally, there are many computers that have it as the editing tool for different documents. Well, the most curious thing is that a suite of this type has not yet reached the most used devices in the world, smartphones, or Android nor to iOS. During 2013 this could change, as the company's Czech Republic division has stated that it will be Microsoft Office to Android next year.

It is true that the Redmond company has been quick to say that the information provided by the Czech division is not accurate. However, everything indicates that the year, at least, is the correct one. And it is that the division of the Central European country went further, saying that the native application for Android, iOS and even Symbian, would be available from March of next year 2013. Of course, it is normal that Microsoft has chosen to say that the information is not correct, but that does not imply that it will not arrive in 2013, or that it will not be able to do so in February or April. Be that as it may, even if it comes out in March, no one will remember this moment anymore.

What is very clear is that the native application will arrive. Also, it seems that the work you want to do Microsoft with her it is very good, since they are delaying it a lot. Two things can happen with this. That users get used to other office suites for their mobile devices and that Microsoft Office arrive with more pain than glory, or that the quality of the application is such that it manages to make everyone go to the classic office suite.
