However, Motorola has already confirmed that the Motorola Moto X and the Motorola Moto G will officially update to Android L. We do not know if the Motorola Moto E will also update, or Android 4.4 KitKat will be the last version of the operating system with which it will have.

However, that was not very relevant when a new version of the operating system was going to be presented yesterday, Android L.
It has been the Germany division of Motorola that has confirmed that the update to Android L will be officially launched for the Motorola Moto X and the Motorola Moto G. This is great news when you consider that the two smartphones were released when the last available version was Android Jelly Bean. The two smartphones have updated to all the versions that have been released so far, and it was even confirmed that the update to Android 4.4.4 KitKat was going to be released. Also, most likely only Nexus update before Motorola smartphones.
Of course, Motorola Germany has not confirmed whether the Motorola Moto E will also update Android L. The Motorola Moto E is an entry-level smartphone, so in reality it would not be strange if it did not update to the new version of the operating system. However, if finally the Motorola Moto E also had the update to Android L, It would be the most basic range smartphone that updates to the new version.
