Messenger video calls

Video calls are all the rage. There's a lot Essential applications to make video calls from Android and one of them is Facebook Messenger, the Facebook messaging app. Now, the Messenger video calls are more original and fun thanks to the latest update.

Facebook Messenger already had some effects in its video calls but now, with the latest update of the Android application, it has added more skins, more dynamic effects and more filters that will make video calls much more fun and original from the application.

New features in Messenger video calls

Dynamic masks, filters or reactions very fun to add from the app. Reactions have come to video calls. You can click on the five icons as if it were any comment and the reactions will appear on the screen. Each of them has different versions and an animation will show visually if you want show amazement, laughter or anger, for example.

In addition to the reactions there will be filters for video calls. You can show yourself on camera with different filter options such as black and white, sepia or vintage. There are eight filters available at the moment to add to video calls.

The most original are, now, the dynamic masks. Filters for faces arrived on Instagram weeks ago and now they arrive on Facebook Messenger. You can put on an infinite number of effects such as a rabbit mask, flower crowns or stars that shine while the conversation is developing. The effects stay on the chat screen until you switch to another or remove it, unlike reactions or masks, which disappear on their own.

To record these conversations, Facebook has also launched a button that will allow you to take a screenshot in a simple way. All you have to do is click on the camera icon to take a screenshot of the video call and save it in the phone's gallery. You can share it on social networks if you want, send it to that person so that they also have it or simply save it to see it again whenever you want.

The update is now available for the Android version of Facebook Messenger and we will only have to update from our phone or download the application if we did not have it yet. Once updated we will only have to find someone we want to talk to and start testing filters, effects and reactions.
