This does not mean that they are exactly the same, but it does mean that the three companies have a lot to do with each other. And also, now two of them are already on the list of the TOP 5 mobile manufacturers in the world, and the other is one of the best known in Spain. Who is who in this company network?

I will speak from a personal point of view. The first company of these three that I knew was OPPO.
Their smartphones were among the first to reach the international market from the Chinese market. Mobile phones that, in general, had an affordable price, but were not of the highest quality. This has changed over time. More quality, with similar prices, has made mobile phones true options to other smartphones that are officially marketed in the Western market. Even OPPO has officially arrived in Europe. What's more, they are sponsors of FC Barcelona, ​​and today they announced a mobile phone with the Blaugrana team's motifs.
Nowadays OPPO is characterized by offering mobile phones in various ranges, with very affordable prices and good designs. Let's say that of the three companies, it is the one that offers the largest catalog.

Although we will obviously find great similarities between OPPO and Vivo, the latter company is more focused on excellence in its smartphones. Their prices are generally higher than those of OPPO mobile phones.
It is difficult to find a Vivo that is really economical, and that is why they are the best option for users who are looking for a really good mobile, who are willing to spend a significant amount of money, but who want the best quality/price ratio, highlighting among other aspects a unique Hi-Fi audio quality.
Lately Vivo is launching some very high-level smartphones, and this has made it become one of the 5 manufacturers that sells the most mobile phones in the world, surpassing brands like Xiaomi, for example.
OnePlus, the «flagship killer»
OnePlus is the best-known brand for us, the best-known in the West, and perhaps it is because since their first smartphone, all the mobile phones they have launched have been officially marketed internationally. OnePlus does not launch many mobile phones, and its smartphones have specific objectives, to be "flagship killers", that is, to be mobile phones with the technical characteristics of high-end mobile phones, but with cheaper prices.
The OnePlus One was, the OnePlus 2 was, and the OnePlus 3 is going to be even more notable. Curiously, despite being more famous than the other two, OnePlus is not in the group of companies that most mobile phones sell in the world. However, it follows another strategy, which, as we see, also works perfectly.
What do these three companies have to do with it?
They are not the same company, and theoretically they are three independent companies. However, all three belong to the BBK Electronics group, from China. This means that, far from being similar companies, they are completely different. The idea is that they are different, with strategies and commercial approaches that are opposite to each other. With mobile phones that do not compete directly with each other. Let's say that success was always assured.
If one company was not successful, the other was. Although in this case, all three companies have been successful. OPPO and Vivo are among the five companies that have produced the most mobile phones in the first quarter of this year 2016, while OnePlus is the best-known company of the three in the West.
