Topics that are very present today are the protection of the environment and the use of technology. The RECICLOS application tries to unite both to achieve its objectives of promoting environmental awareness through a reward system. RECYCLES What is it?
RECYCLES is an app that rewards you for recycling, or they define themselves that way. And that is his method to promote commitment to the environmental cause. Using this app you can win prizes, such as backpacks, electric scooters and even mobile phones, just for being a responsible citizen.
More specifically, the operation of the app is based on the fact that you deposit your cans or plastic bottles of drinks in a yellow container, and you will earn RECYCLE points, which you can use to participate in raffles or to make donations.
The app is born as a Ecoembes initiative, or rather, from its innovation center, which is called TheCircularLab. The objective is reward the environmental responsibility of citizens, and thus achieve greater awareness among the population about the need for recycling. In the long run, an event of this type can achieve a change in the habits of many people, thus contributing to improving the planet.
This initiative seeks to modernize existing containers, which are already widely used by citizens, incorporating mobile technology. Thanks to this evolution, it will be possible to further increase the recycling of plastic cans and bottles without the need to change the waste separation habits that are already consolidated. In addition, responsible consumption habits are promoted.
How to use RECYCLES?
If you want to recycle with RECICLOS, the first thing you should do is download the app on the Play Store or Apple App Store.
Once you have downloaded the app, you can scan the barcodes of the cans and plastic bottles of beverages that you are going to recycle. Be sure to access the yellow bins or RECYCLE machines (image below).
RECYCLE points are redeemable for raffle entries to win various products. So far, more than 3000 raffles have been held and you can win all kinds of eco-friendly products: bicycles, electric scooters and tablets, among others.
But these are not the only prizes, in fact, there will be no reward more rewarding than that of help the planet. If you do not wish to participate in any of the draws, you can donate your RECYCLES directly to social and environmental projects.
