In addition, it is easy to use both for us and for our friends and family. We will find an option in the side navigation menu that will be called «Share my location». Here we will only have to select the contacts with whom we want to share this location, who must have a Google account. We establish how long we want to share the location in real time, and we will not have to do anything else.
Our friends and family that we have selected will receive a notification informing them that they can view our location. They will be able to follow us from Google Maps, so no additional application is necessary. And they can also select to share their location themselves, which is ideal if we have met in a place and everyone wants to know when the others will arrive.
Finally, there will also be one more option, which is to be able to share our location directly when we are traveling and following a route from the navigation section of Google Maps. We will be sharing the route until we reach the destination, so we can save the call to notify that we complete the trip when we arrive.
