Sony just announced by surprise a new model called Sony Xperia Z3 +, so it is an addition to the already well-known product range of the Japanese company and it comes with some news that are interesting to know. Of course, it does not lose some of the differential characteristics of Sony's high-end phones, such as its OmniBalance design or its protection against water and dust (IP65 / 68).
The new model arrives with a design that is fully recognizable. In this way, it does not lack the large power button of the Xperia Z range and, in addition, the rounded edges of the latest additions to it. The colors are varied, and Regarding the external appearance, there are no great news as you can see in the images that we leave throughout this article.
Of course, there is progress when it comes to weight and thickness. In the first case, this is located in the 144 grams, so it is reduced by eight compared to the original model. If we talk about the thickness, the Sony Xperia Z3 + offers 6,9 mm, so it is also finer. Undoubtedly, an important advance in both cases for a phone with a metallic finish and that is at the level of other models on the market with which it competes.
Hardware
Perhaps the great novelty of the Sony Xperia Z3 +, which is not the only one, is that the processor jumps to a Snapdragon 810 eight-core and compatible with 64-bit architecture (the previous SoC was an 801). This makes it much more competitive in terms of performance, as it matches models such as the HTC One M9. As for RAM, there is no difference with the original model, since 3 GB are included, which is an adequate amount for the high-end -the storage is 32 “gigs”, expandable through the use of microSD cards-.
As far as the screen is concerned, the one included is one of 5,2 inches with Full HD quality, being TRILUMINOS and with X-Reality technology. Therefore, the jump to 2K is not made as other manufacturers such as LG or Samsung have done, and this suggests that it is reserved for the launch of the next generation of high-end of the Japanese company (we have to wait with this launch that get into play last summer, at least).
In terms of sound, the Sony Xperia Z3 + includes noise cancellation with the MDR-NC31EM headset and technologies such as DSEE HX or Hi-Res Audio that make quality assured. In the tests and it will be verified if it is able to surpass to BoomSound of HTC.
Important details of the Sony Xperia Z3 +
The main camera of this model is kept in the 20,7 megapixels, being an Exmor RS (BIONZ) model with an angle of 25 millimeters.
