Quick Charge 4.0 will be the latest version of Qualcomm's fast charging technology. This new version will offer us higher loading speeds. The first mobiles with this charging technology will arrive in mid-2017.
Quick Charge 4.0
Quick Charge may have been one of the quickest fast charging technologies to standardize. Perhaps it has been due to the large number of mobiles that have a Qualcomm processor. Either way, the fourth version of this technology is about to be launched, thanks to which even faster loading speeds will be achieved. However, although this technology was announced a long time ago, no mobile compatible with it has yet arrived. Now, we know that the first phones with Quick Charge 4.0 will arrive in mid-2017.

And the phones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835?
The funny thing is that smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor do not support Quick Charge 4.0. Considering that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is the most advanced processor of the new generation, it is not clear how it is not compatible with this technology. The first mobile to have this processor was the Samsung Galaxy S8. This one does not support Quick Charge 4.0 technology, but it is normal given that Samsung has its own fast charging technology. However, neither the Xiaomi Mi 6 nor the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, which also have the same processor, are compatible with this technology. It may be from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 that support for Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology arrives.
Will it really be any different from the other fast charging technologies?
What is to be determined is whether Quick Charge 4.0 technology will really present any difference with respect to other fast charging technologies. Apparently, Google wanted to standardize fast charging for mobiles that had Android. If this were the case, there could be Quick Charge and any other technology, but in the end all would have to meet the characteristics established by Google. Perhaps that is why Quick Charge 4.0 has been a long time coming. If they have to adapt to what Google proposes, they will have had to make modifications in the fast loading technology. Be that as it may, it will be in the middle of this 2017 when the first phones compatible with Quick Charge 4.0 will arrive. Coincidentally, it will also be in mid-2017 when Android O will arrive.
