At this rate, the Galaxy S3 is going to break all records. It has become the most reserved Android mobile before its sale in history, before leaving its firmware and some of its best functions, such as the S Voice, are already being installed on different mobiles. Now a developer has created the first terminal custom ROM. And there is still a week to go before it comes out.
How could it be otherwise, they have told it in XDA Developers (if there was a Nobel Prize in the world of mobiles, it would have to be given to these people). One of his XDA Recognized Developer You have already created a modified version of the ROM of the Galaxy S3. After getting the firmware for the new Samsung mobile, this developer started messing with it.
As announced in this developer forum, its modified version of the Galaxy S3 ROM does not differ from the original system (stock ROM) in its appearance. What it has done is root it, so the user can be root by default. It also comes with two changes that don't tell the average user anything, but are very important to developers. For one thing, this ROM has been deodexed. With this neologism, we refer to the .odex file structure in which applications are organized for execution by the Android operating system. With this modification, they have more freedom to run and create themes.
The other news is just as complex. In the jargon they call it Zipaligning. It is about reorganizing the way in which the apk file of each application (its container and which reminds something of the .exe files of computers) is packaged so that Android can read and execute it more quickly.
As if that were not enough, this same developer has created a pack that they have called Omega Files Kitchen so that anyone (with the necessary knowledge) can create their own ROM. But, of course, the results cannot be verified yet since the Galaxy S3 has not yet come out.
