El Samsung Galaxy Y has been officially presented. After many rumors, they have finally come true and the South Korean company's smartphone has been presented. It is a device somewhere between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3; it is, in fact, a 3GB version of the Galaxy S4However, for now it will only be available in Japan, and we don't know if it will reach the rest of the world.
Currently, we could say that it is the the company's best smartphone. And with the best components of the Galaxy Note 3 and a size closer to that of the Samsung Galaxy S4, we can't say less. The main difference between the smartphone that Samsung presented last month, the Note 3, and the current flagship, the Galaxy S4, lies in the processor and RAM. And precisely, these are the aspects that have been improved in the new Samsung Galaxy Y, whose name clearly comes from the country in which it was initially released, Japan.
In addition to having a Super AMOLED display five inches with a resolution Full HD, an internal memory of 32 GB, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean as operating system, the truth is that it also incorporates the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor capable of reaching a clock speed of 2,3 GHz, the best currently on the market, which ensures the best possible performance. The processor of the Galaxy S4 was a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600. On the other hand, the RAM, which was 2 GB, is now a 3 GB unit, the same as the one in the Galaxy Note 3. This improved RAM allows more operations to be executed simultaneously, so the fluency of the smartphone will be larger, and we will be able to run more apps in multitasking.
The Samsung Galaxy J has been officially unveiled in Japan by carrier NTT DoCoMo, and is available in three colors: pink, blue and whiteWe don't know if it will be released to the rest of the world, although we have reason to believe it won't. However, we'll have to keep an eye on the news in case there's an announcement about the launch of this or a similar smartphone before the end of the year.
