So far we have talked a lot about WhatsApp Plus and other applications that allow us to use the WhatsApp service without the official client. The company began to block the accounts of users who use these applications that were not the official one for a few days. Now, it seems that the bans, or blocks, are becoming permanent.
They are not in Google Play, but they exist
WhatsApp not only started blocking user accounts, but did everything possible to make these unofficial applications disappear from the map, and that included, of course, their being removed from Google Play. The company got WhatsApp Plus removed from Google Play, and even many of the application platforms also removed this application. What's more, even the renowned forums have had to remove the links to access this application. However, it is not impossible to get a WhatsApp Plus .apk file nowadays. And you also have to take into account that there are still other clients who were less well known, but who were there. That is why the company kept blocking user accounts.
However, it must be that they have realized that this is not getting all users to stop using these applications, and they have become more serious about this issue. Apparently, they have already started to block accounts permanently, which means that users with a certain mobile number will never be able to use WhatsApp again. Obviously, not being able to use it for a few days is not the same as never being able to use it, and that is why this should encourage users not to use different applications.
Calls could depend on this
The beginning of the blocking of users using non-official applications coincided with the beginning of tests of the call function for WhatsApp. In reality, it is very likely that WhatsApp calls also depend on all users using the official application. Although a lot of work has been done on the encryption of messages, the same does not happen with calls, a function much more unknown to WhatsApp developers, and which could generate relevant security breaches. If that can already happen with an official client, it is not necessary to imagine what can happen if users also use unofficial applications that are not updated, such as WhatsApp. It is likely that the company wants to prevent non-official applications from being used to avoid greater security problems than it may already have. And if users have still refused to stop using unofficial apps, it is logical that WhatsApp has gone one step further. In any case, if you use any of these, you are now warned about the possibility that your account may be permanently blocked.
